So a couple weeks ago I wrote a post about making the girls summer wardrobe out of re-purposed t-shirts. I’m still serious about this. I know you, reader, doubted me but I have some evidence of my commitment…I WILL win you over to the idea.

I collected this pile of t-shirts from various sources.

I think it is pretty impressive!

What I’m really hoping to do is shock you with what I did with these two shirts…

Before

After…

Pretty fricken exciting, right?

I decided to paint a peace sign on to Little Lime’s because apparently they are back in style. I was hoping for it to fade in the wash but since this was my first time using fabric paint I had no idea that it doesn’t actually fade…I think it’s here to stay. Good to know.

The headband was made on the fly with some scraps and a piece of elastic. I thought it turned out really cute but again the surprise of making something very quickly and turning out half-way decent always adds to it’s like-ability.

They are very matchy-matchy. In order to use up all the material they are going to be…and do think it is a little much but they don’t HAVE to wear them the same days…right? Tell me what you think…
