Update For Old Purse + Petal Flower Tutorial
I’ve been trying to update the girls wardrobe because we are poor students and I didn’t want to spend money on clothes shopping. This is a fun process for me because I learn things as I go. But what I really need to get to is my wardrobe which is seriously pathetic. I haven’t shopped since before I was pregnant with Little Lime. EK! So I haven’t done anything about the clothing issue but I have started on a few accessories.
My wonderfully loud Italian friend, Celina, gave me this purse a while back (like way back) because I liked it…and she needed an excuse to buy a new one. Since then it has taken some abuse and is pretty faded out and dirty. So I gave it a quick update to brighten it up.
BEFORE~

AFTER~

Not much…but just enough.

The petal flowers are really easy to make. All you have to do is cut out some hearts from fabric of your choice.
Then just thread a needle and thread through the middle…
Then back the other way.
After this just tac down with thread the individual petals as you please. I stacked some…and spread the others out.

Looks great! A big yellow flower would look great on there too!
Ah. It would have! I love yellow right now.
