Halloween 2010

Last year during Halloween, I didn’t have this little face. But she was definitely on my mind because she was due to be born, Halloween 2009. She didn’t come on Halloween and I was sad about it because I was in pain, but I still think of her as a Halloween baby.
This year we went out and took pictures during the afternoon to save me the anxiety of them messing up their costumes or there not being enough lighting to get pictures. I’m going to do it every year because the rest of the day felt very laid back and they got to wear their costumes most of the day which is fun for them! I had a really hard time picking from our little photo shoot. We got a lot of good pictures thanks to Tia being around to help me round up the girls. Miss Lime was still hard to keep up with but I managed. So be prepared for picture overload.
Can you guess what their costumes are? Besides the obvious? Because we had a theme going…white owl and ginger cat…

They were Hedwig and Crookshanks. We {Heart} Harry Potter.
If you were wondering, Miss Raine’s costume was born from THIS tutorial at Craftzine. Little Limes was all original but very easy considering I didn’t have to hem the fleece. This was the first go at the bootie template that I posted about earlier this week. I just sewed a tail into the seam of my easy fleece pants pattern…made a shirt out of fleece and sewed the half circle right to the top of it. I did cut the shirt down the back and added some velcro because she would not have been able to make it into the shirt otherwise. The ears I just sewed haphazardly onto an elastic headband…as you can see. Stuff like this I don’t try to make perfect because anything will look cute with that sweet little painted face!!!

OMG! Could this pictures be any cuter? Magen I love this page you constructed. So enjoyable! Lilly’s little face is scrumptious enough to eat! LOL
Thank you April!! It makes me happy that is “enjoyable” that is what I’m aiming for!
Love the costumes! And your girls are sooo cute!
i totally dig the costumes. and the photography too!( im hoping we get a nice camera for xmas, so hint to K to hint to kalob on what kind to get. but tell him also, he doesnt need the very best and most expensive one.) what message was raine delivering?
Thank you :) But I have to say…and this may sound awful…but I think your daughter wins in the cuteness department. Your baby is seriously, the prettiest baby I have EVER seen. I make Husband look at her every time I read your blog. She’s gorgeous.
Thanks, I have taken over Husbands camera and have been learning how to use Aperture and Lightroom. I told Husband to hint to him…I’m not sure he will follow through though. Raine was delivering a scribbled message she rolled up for a prop. She did this herself and that is why it is tied with a hair rubber band. She wanted to be delivering a message just like Hedwig!
