Hi there! My name is Magen and I’m Mae Mae of Mae Mae Daily.
I guess you could say I’m a young, overachiever, who’s into parenting, making things, listing things, using lots of commas, thrifting, adding to my ‘to read’ list, gardening, eating popcorn, psychiatric voyeurism, photography, writing long-winded but thoughtful posts, PROJECTS, and the outdoors. I value the potential in everyone, optimism and idealism, community, living responsibly and intentionally, introspection and family. I also happen to be a therapist.
Mae Mae Daily is a lifestyle and life blog, written by me, a woman striving to achieve big dreams, the wife of a rockstar turned lawyer, and mother of two happy girls. Here I document my ventures in finding meaning in the daily routine and maintaining a happy home and life. Mae Mae Daily is a place for support and sharing, creativity and maybe some visual eye candy.
Ultimately, my objective in writing for Mae Mae Daily is to share pathways to HAPPY. A happy life, happy children, happy parenting, happy marriage, happy garden, where ever you may need a little inspiration, I hope you can find some here. I admit my process may be a bit random, one day it may be sharing advice via my clinical background, the next it might be a book recommendation, a parenting story, or sharing my next silly project scheme, but they are all under the same hopeful umbrella.
Our little family moved from Salt Lake City to the wonderful state of Oregon in 2010. We enjoy living in the rain, exploring this great state, believing that we are modern-day farmers while living in a small student apartment…and nerding out on all things technology.
To get a good idea of me and my writing, here are some posts to get you started:
1. Raising Happy Kids: 5 Newborn Parenting Tactics That Make All The Difference-#3 Sleep
2. Book Review: The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau
3. Tutorial: Old Jeans Make-over, Part 1-Dye
4. Summer Inspiration – Childhood
Mae Mae Daily is intended to be a welcoming place for all those who strive to find happiness in little things, are thoughtful and live life intentionally. I hope you find happiness and inspiration during your visit.
I love chatting it up, please head over to my contact page to contact me anytime. I look forward to hearing from you!
